“Extra’s” Lauren Sanchez caught up with “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who told us the interesting way he one day plans to pop the question… “With a prenup right next to you,” he joked.
Pattinson, whose “Twilight” character Edward Cullen will be taking a trip down the aisle with Bella, also said he wouldn’t get down on one knee to propose.
“Something about kneeling down, because I had to kneel down so much in the ‘Twilight’ movies and it always looks really awkward. I’ve actually got quite long thighs and it doesn’t work,” RPattz said.
Since the release of the first “Twilight” film, Rob still hasn’t come “to grips” with his fame. He told “Extra” that when going out in public he “basically runs down alleyways and hides in dumpsters and stuff.”
Robert Pattinson will be appearing around the clock when “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” hits theaters June 30
Chills, thrills, and of course, romance! ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ promises excitement galore, and ET is with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as they dish about their views on marriage and sharing onscreen smooches.
In the film, Bella (Stewart) continues her quest to evade vampire Victoria (played in ‘Eclipse’ by Bryce Dallas Howard), who is bent on vengeance after Edward (Pattinson) killed her main squeeze James in the first ‘Twilight.’ Bella is also confronted with a choice — does she want to spend eternity with vampire Edward, or will she choose a human life with werewolf Jacob (Lautner)?
In the beginning of ‘Eclipse,’ Edward has just proposed to Bella and is waiting on her answer. Stewart comments on her personal feelings toward marriage, telling ET, “It’s kind of sad that people cringe at the word marriage but it’s totally common. It is just our generation. … Maybe if you’re in the right place, it could be the right thing for you.”
Stewart has a few kissing scenes in the sequel with both Pattinson and Lautner. “Whenever there’s a kiss, there’s always an awkwardness in the scene,” Pattinson says of the smooches. “I guess it’s not so nerve racking anymore.”
The actress adds, “Kisses in movies tend to be a little awkward because you have to show the camera that you’re kissing and typically if you just do it naturally, it’s the back of your head.”
Lautner also had some awkward moments on set, telling ET, “It is uncomfortable sometimes mainly because I’m the only person on the entire set without a shirt.”
‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ hits theaters on June 30.
